Powell Reunion 2013

The reunion this year was in some cabins in Flagstaff. Gabe and Jane Ann were not able to make it but everybody else came and most of all the Powell family about 100 of us were there. It was the first time I met little almost 4 month old Benjamin.

The girls loved being with their Aunties and Uncle. We played lots of games at night and got to catch up with all the Powell cousins. We even hiked down to this lava cave one day.

Anna got to play with her second cousins and Elise just was always dirty.

Anna and Elise slept under the stairs on a mattress which they loved. They had fun staying at the cabin and Nana and Papa loved having all their grandchildren together.

Bare Feet or Bear Feet?

After exercising I went to take off my shoes and Anna followed me into my room. I said I was going to take off my shoes and socks so I could have bare feet like her. She said, “Ohhh”, and went and got my bear feet slippers and then got hers.

Campout

We went camping near Payson this weekend with some friends the Wallaces and Godfrys. The best part was the girls just loved getting out and playing in nature. It is hard in the AZ summer that they get trapped indoors all day because of the heat.


They had a blast riding on some friends motor wheels. When they first got in Elise grabbed the steering wheel pushed her foot on the gas and took Anna on a ride, After seeing Elise driving Anna then wanted a turn. Kind of typical of these girls.


We went on a little hike to a creek.

The girls loved splashing in the water.

They also loved that they got to sleep in our big tent in sleeping bags. Except in the middle of the night Elise crawled into my sleeping bag and squished me and my pregnant belly for the rest of the night.

Anna and Elise loved playing down in the dry river bed. Anna wanted to jump from rock to rock and climb all over the place. They thought it was the greatest thing ever!



On the way home this little one was all tuckered out with a dirty face, a snotty nose, and battle wounds from her fight with a tree branch.

Elise is Two

We celebrated Elise’s 2nd birthday at my parents house with a Dora cake which she loved.

Anna was more excited about Elise’s birthday and all the presents then Elise was, and Anna helped Elise open all of them.

She got a baby doll stroller and some other fun stuff. Nana ended up buying Anna her own baby doll stroller the next day as they both wanted to play with it at all times.
