4th of July

For the 4th, our ward had a fun flag raising ceremony/pancake breakfast/kid parade/ward water fight. It was great! Anna’s stroller was decked out for the parade but she definitely was not thrilled to be pulled out of the kiddy water area to do join in. Later during the water fight Elise even got nailed with a miss thrown bucket of water; it woke her up with a startle. But she probably needed to be cooled down anyway. That evening we headed over for a fun evening at Danny and Maretta’s new house for a BBQ, swim party, and a few fireworks which Anna was terrified of. And to finish off the night Kent and I watched, “A More Perfect Union” while trying to get Elise to go to sleep.

I am sure grateful for our founding father’s and the freedoms that are ours! I love this great country and am grateful for all those who have fought and do fight to keep it free.

  1. H is also terrified of the fireworks. Poor girl was so traumatized by our at-home fireworks that she even freaked out when she saw a cupcake with a candle on it. I still can't get her to go anywhere near a cupcake!

Your little Elise is such a DOLL. I know I have only seen her in pictures but she looks like Anna's identical twin! Do you think so? I can't get over how much they resemble each other.

  2. I don't think they look anything alike. I am serious.
